The FX-992S Scientific calculator is ideal for ages 11-16, it is both Solar powered and battery powered, it has 383 functions and can deal with complex numbers. Key operations are performed following the mathematical expressions exactly as they are written in the students textbook. Whilst maybe not being the best-looking calculator in the world, it is designed for students and is therefore rugged and reliable - which is far more important. The keys are a reasonable size and the hard slide-on case means that the calculator may be safely transported in a carry-all or backpack without damage.
